This is a recipe for creating a pastry base for savoury tarts, pies, and quiches.
Ingredients
- Precooked savoury pastry base.
- 3 eggs.
- 100ml of 18% cream.
- 200g of goats cheese.
- 400g of spinach.
- 20ml of honey.
- 40g of mustard.
- Salt, pepper, and chilli-pepper to taste.
- Butter or olive oil.
Instructions
Cook the spinach in a frying pan with a knob of butter or olive oil until the leaves are soft and mushy.
Coat the base of the pastry with a thin coating of mustard.
Cut 4 slices of goats cheese and put aside for later, and then cut up the rest of the goats cheese into cubes and place in the bottom of the tart.
Mix your eggs, cream, salt, and pepper together to create a quiche mixture. Add the spinach to the mixture and then poor it into the tart.
Place the 4 leftover slices of goats cheese on top and cook for 30 minutes at 180°C.
Take out of the oven and drizzle some honey over the top whilst still hot.
Can be enjoyed hot, or cold the next day!
